 12.2

Sanskrit (Chapter 12, Verse 2):

श्रीभगवानुवाच ।

मय्यावेश्य मनो ये मां नित्ययुक्ता उपासते ।

श्रद्धया परयोपेताः ते मे युक्ततमा मताः ॥ १२.२ ॥

Transliteration:

śrī-bhagavān uvāca

mayy āveśya mano ye māṁ nitya-yuktā upāsate

śraddhayā parayopetās te me yuktatamā matāḥ

Translation (simple meaning):

The Blessed Lord said:

Those who fix their minds on Me, worship Me constantly with supreme faith, and remain ever devoted — they are considered by Me to be the most perfectly united (in yoga).

Brief Explanation

In Chapter 12 (Bhakti Yoga), Krishna responds to Arjuna’s question about who is superior — devotees who worship the personal form of God or those who meditate on the formless Absolute.

Here, Krishna says that those who:

• Focus their mind fully on Him
• Remain constantly devoted
• Worship with deep faith

are regarded as the most accomplished in yoga (spiritual union).
