Eventually you won’t get insurance in fire zones, flood plains, hurricane zones, mining areas.

Don’t know if global warming will affect earthquake frequency and strength. More rain will create more sinkholes.

A2A Love Edg’s answer and can’t improve on it. But a question for you Steve:
What do you care what Ramana or Nisargadatta or Buddha or Adi Shankara or any sage says about whether or not everything is pre-ordained? Is it just for curiosity, or were you planning to use their ‘teachings,’ their pointers, to form a control plan, an ego-construct, about how to navigate the rest of your life?
If it’s the latter, I would recommend you don’t do it. Treating Life as if someone else’s answers (even great Masters or scriptures) tells you how your life is going to go, essentially ruins it. Don’t live their life or idea of how it will go, live your life. Find out for yourself, as Life Itself. Your life will look like your life, like your movie Consciousness ‘wanted’ to project on the screen of apparent manifestation. It won’t look like anyone else’s. Savor and relish the Now, and Now, and Now of each moment of your life unfolding with no idea about what’s next, and embrace all of it as Life Itself. Ultimately, knowing what either of them taught will not really affect your journey.
And strictly speaking, both Ramana and Nisargadatta taught this entire manifestation was an illusion, a projection of Consciousness. ‘Time’ is also part off that illusion - is doesn’t really exist. And you can’t have ‘pre-ordination’ of what’s ‘going to happen’ in the ’future’ without time. If there’s no time, nothing can be preordained, right? That’s what they both taught, so there’s your answer:-)
