― The Art of War
As a Stoic, one might appreciate Buddhism for its focus on mindfulness, acceptance of impermanence, and the importance of inner peace. Both philosophies encourage self-reflection and the cultivation of a tranquil mind in the face of life's challenges. While Stoicism emphasizes rationality and virtue as the path to a good life, Buddhism highlights compassion and the alleviation of suffering. Together, they offer complementary insights into how to navigate the complexities of existence.

When you are looking for Consciousness, then you are looking for a person, place or a thing.
Consciousness is none of these and therefore, you will not find it anywhere.
When you are looking for scientific proof then you will find three states of consciousness, waking, dreaming and deep sleep with its own parameters and physioloy.
These consciousness are the outcropping of Pure consciousness, which we call Pure Awareness, beyond senses of perception and a stand alone identity.
In your question you asked its location.
Both body and brain have a location in space-time but mind and soul are non-local, infinites which are present everywhere at the same time.
The colourless is no-colour but if colourless is passed through a prism, it disperses in seven colours.
The prism is a device to disperse the colour.
Body and brain are the instruments through which the Awareness emerges as a conscious experience.
Devoid of body/brain, the Pure Consciousness/Awareness exists on its own just like the colourless.
There are absolutely no equations or answers on Mind, soul and Consciousness with Science.
