Ishmael ישמעאל
שמע (pronounced sh-mah) to hear, to listen
אל (pronounced ah-l) God, god/superhuman
The name Ishmael is composed of several Hebrew words: 1) El means “God”, 2) eShemah means “he will hear”. The basic meaning of Ishmael, is therefore, “God will hear”. There is another well-known Biblical name with a very similar meaning - Semion (שִׁמְעוֹן). Semion (pronounced Shimyon) was Jacob’s son. It too it carries the idea of “being heard” from above.

B NON SELF Generally, we implicitly consider the thoughts and emotions that pass through our minds as being "ours." We say, "my thoughts," or, "my emotions." Yet, when we look for this so-called "me," are we able to find it? Where is it located? Is it in my head, my chest, or my face? What color is it? Does it have boundaries? When we look at the nature of this "me" or "mine," we may see multiple things, such as images, or a storyline, or have a feeling or sense. Or, when we look, we may see nothing, or something incapable of being described or pin-pointed. When we look at what we blindly call "I" or "me" more clearly, thoughts and emotions in the mind then seem to appear without there being a single, independent "thinker" or "emotioner" capable being pin-pointed. Isn't that strange? This helps slowly dissolve our identification with these thoughts and emotions, leaving behind a feeling of spaciousness or freedom. In brief, the wisdom of not-self is for the purpose of seeing ourselves and emotions more clearly, so that we can be free from the suffering they cause.
By not clinging to identity. The Buddha spoke of "I making" and "my making." At its worst it is like running around being egotistical and loud. In more mild ways it it checking your pride all the time. One teacher had a very good strategy, he said that when you feel insulted, pause, see what is being insulted, is that worth clinging to?
Who is sad? What does “I” mean? Does it mean that your body is sad? Are your memories sad? What does it mean when you say the words I am sad? You’re not sad, you’re having emotions that are sad. It is not who you are. Whenever you feel an emotion or an urge, simply practice the mindfulness technique of asking yourself what part of you is this suffering effecting.

Interesting question.
In Buddhism when it's said ‘everything is impermanent’ it's reffering to our material world.
Nibanna itself is not explained because it doesn't belong to our sense realm, it thus can't be explained.
It's said it's just like extinguishing a fire.
So, our laws don't apply to the state of Nibanna , it is thus an permanent state.
Another teaching which is misunderstood is ‘life is suffering’, it's actually ‘there is suffering in life’ , because there is lots of joys and happiness also in life but all of that has an inbuilt fleeting feeling inside them and our misguided efforts to achieve them complicates things.
One can find equanimity with the teachings and still live in the world.
Final one is there is suffering due to craving, there is craving due to ignorance but it is not explained where the ignorance comes from, because there is no need. One just works to remove the ignorance.
The human mind seeks answers to everything but actually we can complicate things by overanalyzing and overthinking also.
When we say something is omnipresent or impermanent, it has to be defined against something which is present and permanent for us to understand.
That's why thinking about things like when did world or time start is not encouraged as one will ask ‘what before that', we thus don't know when all this started.
That is why it's said that no one spoke as much as the Buddha but also no one stayed silent as much as the Buddha.
Because he knew which questions not to answer.

ndm Maharaj often says that we can observe the nature and function of consciousness in our daily routine of sleeping, dreaming and waking states. In deep sleep consciousness retires into a state of repose, as it were. When consciousness is absent, there is no sense of one's existence or presence, let alone the existence of the world and its inhabitants, or of any ideas of bondage and liberation. This is so because the very concept of 'I' is absent. In the dream state a speck of consciousness begins to stir— one is not yet fully awake — and then in a split-second, in that speck of consciousness is created an entire world of mountains and valleys, rivers and lakes, cities and villages with buildings and people of various ages, including the dreamer himself. And, what is more important, the dreamer has no control over what the dreamed figures are doing! In other words, a new living world is created in a split-second, fabricated out of memory and imagination merely by a single movement in that speck of consciousness. Imagine, therefore, says Maharaj, the extraordinary power of this consciousness, a mere speck of which can contain and project an entire universe. When the dreamer wakes up, the dream-world and the dreamed figures disappear.

osho I, ME and MINE:
Worrying about outcomes
Disciplined people focus on what they can control.
They work steadily towards their goal, but they don’t worry too much about the outcome.
A disciplined person understands that they can’t actually control the outcomes. They can only control their actions, which if done consistently over time, will lead to the desired goal or outcome.
They can’t control whether a novel gets written, but they can control writing 1000 words per day.
Spending too much time thinking about your goals and not taking action is a waste of time.
Disciplined people “set it and forget it”.
Yes, you need to plan your goals and actions initially, and it’s nice to reward yourself once in a while when you’re making progress, but your main focus should be on the small actions you can take right now.

ndm Maharaj tells us repeatedly that we are so accustomed to thinking of ourselves as bodies having consciousness, that we find it very difficult to accept or even understand the real position. Actually it is consciousness which manifests itself in innumerable bodies. It is, therefore, essential to apperceive that birth and death are nothing but the beginning and the ending of a stream of movements in consciousness, interpreted as events in space-time. If we can realize this, we shall also realize that we are pure being-awareness-bliss in our original pristine state, and when in touch with consciousness, we are only the witnessing of (and totally apart from) the various movements in consciousness. This is an indisputable fact, because obviously, we cannot be what we perceive; the perceiver must be different from what he perceives.
