“The Upanishads contrast the absolute fullness of limitless perfection with the world of plurality—a state of disruption, restriction, and pain. If there is a difference between the teaching of the Upanishads and the Buddha, it is not in their views of the world of experience (samsara) but in regard to their conception of reality (nirvana).”
