B ARROW 2.0

A good way that I think about this is how babies and animals respond to external stimuli. If something hurts, they are crying because of the pain they are feeling in that moment; they aren’t creating stories around it. Conversely, a piano player who smashes his hand with a hammer might shoot himself with a second dart by worrying about how this may affect his ability to play piano, creating all types of stories that only create additional suffering.
