In recent years, some parents have refused to vaccinate their kids for measles and
other diseases due to the belief that vaccines are linked to autism, based on sincediscredited and known-to-be-fraudulent research. These people who choose not to
vaccinate are free-riding on the herd immunity from the people who do choose to
vaccinate.
