NR CREDIBLE BNGEL ENCOUNTERS

 A

3 Often-Cited “Credible” Angel Encounters

  1. Angels of Mons (Belgium, 1914)
During World War I, British soldiers retreating from Mons reported seeing luminous, angel-like figures protecting them from advancing German troops. Some described bow-wielding beings or a radiant presence shielding the army. The reports spread quickly and were taken seriously enough to be discussed in newspapers and by figures like Arthur Conan Doyle, who considered them possibly supernatural.

  2. The “Angel of Peace” at Fátima apparitions
Before the Marian visions, three Portuguese children—Lúcia dos Santos, Jacinta Marto, and Francisco Marto—reported encounters with a luminous angel who taught them prayers and urged repentance. The children independently described similar details, and the accounts were documented early, adding to their perceived credibility.

  3. The “Stranger” Rescue in the Andes (1972)
Survivors of the Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571 crash later described moments where mysterious figures or voices guided them to safety. One survivor reported a calm, human-like presence encouraging him to continue walking when he was near collapse—interpreted by some as an angelic intervention rather than hallucination.

These are considered “near-credible” because multiple witnesses, early documentation, or historical context support the reports—though none are scientifically verified.
