DWM Leisure activities curb loss of brain volume Older adults who engaged in leisure activities, such as walking, swimming, dancing and gardening, had almost 1.4% higher average brain volume, equivalent to nearly four years' younger brain age, compared with those who were inactive, according to a study to be presented at the American Academy of Neurology's annual meeting.
