"What is Happiness? Positive Psychology, a relatively new branch of psychology, has broken down happiness into three main components: • The pleasant life.  This is the most sought after area of happiness, but positive psychologists see it as the least important as it does not last.  Examples of this type of happiness include entertainment, sexual endeavors and relationships. • The good life.  This happiness component is sometimes referred to as “flow” or being “in the zone.”  It is the idea of being able to complete a task completely on your own, or following through with a goal you have set for yourself.  Doing this often makes people feel good and proud of themselves. • The meaningful life.  Finding meaning in life is considered the greatest and most important component of happiness by positive psychologists.  Finding meaning can be anything from to fitting in with friends to finding a job you love"
