"Minimalism can be defined merely as a way to put a stop to the greed of the world around us. It’s the opposite of every advertisement we see plastered on the radio, TV or the web. We live in a society that prides itself on the accumulation of stuff; we are fed up with consumerism, obsess about material possessions, accumulating debt, dwelling on distractions and never-ending noise. What we don’t seem to have is any meaning left in our world as we know it."
