sarvaṃ khalvidaṃ brahma

 The correct Sanskrit phrase is:

“सर्वं खल्विदं ब्रह्म” (sarvaṃ khalvidaṃ brahma)

🌿 Meaning:

“All this is indeed Brahman.”

  • Sarvam (सर्वम्) = everything / all
  • Khalu (खलु) = indeed / surely
  • Idam (इदम्) = this (world, universe)
  • Brahma (ब्रह्म) = ultimate reality / absolute truth

🧠 Simple explanation:

This statement says that:
👉 The entire universe—everything you see, experience, and know—is fundamentally Brahman (the absolute reality).

So nothing is separate from it; diversity is just appearance, but the essence is one.

📖 Source:

This teaching comes from the Chandogya Upanishad, one of the major Upanishads in Indian philosophy.

🔑 Core idea:

  • World looks diverse → but essence is one
  • Forms are many → reality is one
  • Everything is interconnected → nothing exists apart from Brahman

🌊 Simple analogy:

Like waves in the ocean:

  • Waves look different
  • But all are just water

Similarly:

  • Everything in the universe is different in form
  • But all is Brahman in essence

If you want, I can  connect this with “Tat Tvam Asi” or  explain how Advaita Vedanta builds a full philosophy from this idea.
