Subjective feeling is an emergent property. For instance an individual water molecule is not in any state of sold liquid or gas... only the collection. An object has no color at the molecule level... only the collection. A molecule has no temperature... only a velocity... only the collection has a temporary. An individual neuron has no subjective experience... the experience arises as an emergent higher order property. Doesn't explain why... but does explain what it is
