Vachik Tapasya

“Bachhik tapasya” can be understood a couple of ways, depending on context:

  1. वाचिक तपस्या (Vāchik Tapasya) – spiritual discipline of speech
This is the most common interpretation. It means practicing control and purity in speech:
    • बोलना सत्य (truthful speech)
    • मधुर वाणी (gentle, non-hurtful words)
    • आवश्यकता से कम बोलना (speaking only when needed)
    • निंदा, झूठ, कटु वचन से बचना

  2. In Indian philosophy, this is considered one of the three forms of tapasya:
    • कायिक (physical)
    • वाचिक (speech)
    • मानसिक (mental)

  3. If you meant something else (a person’s name, a local term, or a specific story/quote), the spelling or context might be different.

Tell me where you heard it—religious text, conversation, book, or regional usage—and I’ll pin it down exactly 😊
