Kriyaman

Kriyaman (also spelled Kriyamāṇa) is a concept from Indian philosophy, especially Hinduism, related to karma.

It means “present or current actions.”

In simple terms:

  • Sanchita karma → all the karma you’ve accumulated from past lives
  • Prarabdha karma → the portion of that karma currently shaping your present life
  • Kriyaman karma → the karma you are creating right now through your thoughts, words, and actions

So kriyaman is the karma in the making—what you choose to do today, which will affect your future (in this life or the next).

Think of it like:

  • Past karma = already written chapters
  • Present karma (kriyaman) = the pen in your hand ✍️
  • Future karma = the story that results

If you want, I can also explain how kriyaman karma can change or soften the effects of past karma.
