In that case we’d say that the associated p value was 1/20 or p = 0.05. We could also say that the odds against chance for the experiment were the inverse of 1/20, or 20 to 1. Throughout this book, I cast p values into odds because more people are used to casino terms like “odds” than abstract terms like “p values.”
