MIRACLE V MARVEL
The word miracle comes from the Latin miraculum, or “object of wonder.” It refers to an extraordinary event presumed to be caused by something beyond all known natural or earthly forces. As such, miracles are attributed to supernatural or divine causes. By contrast, a marvelous event is regarded as an unusual but perfectly normal event that’s not yet understood. If a marvelous episode is really spectacular, it might be called supernormal. The siddhis are thus marvelous, and not miracles.
