MAHADASHAMI X COP OUT 26

 CBNAD STONE X ENLIGHTENED

It might seem that an enlightened person loses all emotions because an enlightened one does not automatically react to all emotions, unlike most humans.

For the most part, a feeling and a reaction to the feeling are inseparable. There is no distinction betting feeling pain and expressing pain, feeling sadness and expressing sadness, feeling joy and expressing joy. Most humans have no facility over their emotional reactions, the reactions happen to them automatically, they don’t appear as something that one chooses to do.

When one feels emotional pain, for example, one cries, shouts, attacks, goes numb and freezes, eats, get’s drunk. Those actions, those behaviors are how pain looks like. Pain is not just the emotion, the sensation in one’s body, pain is the sensation and actions caused by this sensation. Those two are one, one thing, one experience.

For an enlightened one, those two are two. A sensation arises, a feeling arises, and one doesn’t act out immediately, automatically, unconsciously. One feels pain and doesn’t scream, one feels sadness and doesn’t cry. One feels the feeling. One can choose to act out this feeling. One can choose to shout, one can choose to cry, but one doesn’t have to. It is a conscious choice.

For the most part there is no need to act out one’s feelings. Feeling pain is perfectly sufficient, all the actions and reactions that accompany the feeling of pain are not necessary. One can feel pain, and just leave it at that.

When an enlightened one feels pain and just leaves it at that, it will look to most humans like the enlightened one doesn’t feel pain, because the only way they know how to feel pain is by acting it out. They don’t know any other way. If someone is in pain there is shouting, screaming, crying, hiding. There is an action, a behavior. If there is no action, then there can’t be any feeling, from the normal, human point of view.

Therefore, if someone doesn’t act out their feelings, most humans will conclude that he doesn’t feel any feelings at all.

Gurudev Sri Paramahansa Yogananda Ji said:
Kriya Yoga is an instrument through which human evolution can be quickened. Kriya Yoga, controlling the mind directly through the life force, is the easiest, most effective, and most scientific avenue of approach to the Infinite.
The after effects of Kriya bring with them the utmost peace and bliss. The joy that comes with Kriya is greater than the joys of all pleasurable physical sensations put together. From that joy experienced in meditation I receive the rest of a thousand sleeps. Sleep becomes virtually unnecessary to the advanced Kriya Yogi.
Self-realization is yoga or "oneness" with truth — the direct perception or experience of truth by the all-knowing intuitive faculty of the soul.
