What to order
- Complete blood count. Look for leukocytosis with lymphopenia.
- D-dimer. Look for an elevated level.
- Procalcitonin. It should be normal unless there is a secondary pneumonia.
- LDH, C-reactive protein, and ferritin. Look for elevated levels.
- INR and liver enzymes. Increased?
- Chest x-ray. Look for ground glass appearance.
