Notice that all thinking is observed.
Notice also, that the desire to get rid of thinking,
or the fear of its arising,
is also observed.
Of all thoughts,
and even the subtler motives of the mind,
you are the seer.
You are none of these mental inclinations.
When these arise, do not fight with them.
Do not identify.
You are simply to return
to being aware of yourself: The seer.
Bring attention inward to yourself
and rest in this silent knowing.
Let the seer
be aware
“I am.”
With you in practice,

Notice that all thoughts are witnessed.
And notice too that the urge to stop thinking,
or the fear of thought appearing again,
is also being witnessed.
Beyond every thought,
and even the subtle movements and motives of the mind,
you are the one who sees.
You are not these passing mental tendencies.
When they arise, do not resist them.
Do not cling to them as “me” or “mine.”
Simply return
to the awareness of yourself as the witness.
Turn attention gently inward
and rest in this quiet knowing.
Let the witness remain aware:
“I am.”
With you in stillness,
