AS C

AUnlike computers, we are beings in time — embodied, embedded, and entimed in our worlds. We can never be caught in infinite loops because we never exist out of time.

  1. Human consciousness is inseparable from lived time
Unlike computers, humans exist as embodied beings moving through changing environments, emotions, memory, and mortality. Our awareness is always situated “in time,” which naturally interrupts rigid repetition and reframes experience.

  2. AI can process endlessly without existential awareness
An AI system may continue executing recursive or self-referential processes indefinitely because it lacks intrinsic felt experience, bodily urgency, or temporal self-awareness. It computes, but does not “notice” being trapped in the way humans do.

  3. Intelligence and consciousness may be fundamentally different
The quote suggests that raw intelligence alone does not guarantee wisdom, self-awareness, or escape from pathological loops. Human cognition may derive resilience not from superior computation, but from embodiment, limitation, and participation in a flowing world.
