Sometimes, however, a random thought doesn’t originate in your brain; it is the result of a strand between you and another. Someone will think of you, and the thought travels on the strand between you and them. You may wake up with a random thought about someone, or someone you haven’t thought of for a long time may show up in a dream. In my life, those random thoughts usually tell me when someone is thinking of me. I love it. It’s a kind of psychic telephone system, keeping us in touch with each other. These thoughts are often heartfelt. If someone I haven’t thought of for a long time pops into my random thoughts, I usually call them or e-mail them, and almost always that individual says they were thinking of me with love. This is one of the mysterious and wondrous things I deeply enjoy about life
