Sitting quietly, doing nothing, not knowing what is next and not concerned with what was or what may be next, a new mind is operating that is not connected with the conditioned past and yet perceives and understands the whole mechanism of conditioning. It is the unmasking of the self that is nothing but masks—images, memories of past experiences, fears, hopes, and the ceaseless demand to be something or become somebody. This new mind that is no-mind is free of duality—there is no doer in it and nothing to be done.
################## Paramhansa Yogananda said, “Always remember that seclusion is the price of greatness. In this tremendously busy life, unless you are by yourself, you can never succeed. Never, never, never. Walk in silence; go quietly; develop spiritually. We should not allow noise and sensory activities to ruin the ladder of our attention, because we are listening for the footsteps of God to come into our Temple.”
############### a There are three essential elements to seclusion. The first is withdrawal from outward activities. It is important to disengage from electronic devices with their incessant demands and lures. The second is to focus on God alone. During the week, when I wasn’t meditating I read only from the books of Master and Swami Kriyananda. Finally, there is feeling God’s presence as a constant. When our feelings, which are usually disturbed by daily events and demands, are allowed to calm themselves, we are much more able to hear God’s whispers, and to feel Him close ################# "It's important to remember that life isn't just about getting through and overcoming suffering, but it's about celebrating all the blessings and beauty in our life." – James Baraz

################## Well.. I bet you were expecting a long story here but sadly not. I simply tried observing the world last night, without making discriminations or choices and the feeling that takes me over when I do this cannot be put into words! It is beyond all description! Just simply incredible. The inner healing, sense of power and love within is beyond description when I carry out this practice. The peace generated in the mind as you carry out this technique is also beyond words and description. It feels like a direct experience of my true nature/the divine. I had absolutely no idea Krishnamurtis very simple teachings could be so transformative.
