ATMAN BRAHMAN - NEUTRAL GENDER
'################
Abram and Abraham אברם ואברהם
אב (pronounced ah-v) Father, title of honor
רם (pronounced ram) lifted up, exalted
המון (pronounced hahmon) a lot, multitude
The basic meaning of Abram (אברם) is “exalted (רם) father (אב)”, while the meaning of Abraham (אברהם) seems to be the “father (אב)of multitudes (המון)”. Even though there are several different theories about the exact etymology of this name, the immediate context seems to suggest that “father of multitudes” is the most likely meaning. YHVH’s promise to Abram, which accompanied his name change, was “I will make you the father of a multitude of nations אַב־הֲמוֹן גּוֹיִם נְתַתִּיךָ.” (Gen.17:5)

Manifested consciousness is time-bound inasmuch as it disappears as soon as the physical construct it inhabits comes to an end. Nevertheless, according to Maharaj, it is the only 'capital' a sentient being is born with. And manifested consciousness being his only connection with the Absolute, it becomes the only instrument by which the sentient being can hope to get an illusory liberation from the 'individual' he believes himself to be. By being one with his consciousness and treating it as his Atma, his God, he can hope to attain what he thinks as the unattainable

What happens when the deep sleep as also the dream state are over and consciousness appears again? The immediate sense then is that of existence and presence, not the presence of 'me' but presence as such. Soon, however, the mind takes over and creates the 'I' - concept and awareness of the body.

The question seems simple, but the issues are deep.
Most folks can’t define “thoughts.”
Wrong answers include:
—”What happens inside my head.”
—”Separate events of the brain.”
—”Electro-chemical processes of a nervous system.”
Most folks can’t define “I.”
Wrong answers include:
—”I’m my personality.”
—”I’m a history of my thoughts and actions.”
—”I’m a body/mind complexity.”
THE ANSWER
Transcendence obviates being.
It’s all illusory and has “less reality than zero.”
No-thing-ness is manifest — a negative reality.
When it’s all nonsense, anything goes.
Any statement can be true or false - scriptural or meaningless.
QUASI-EXCEPTION
The witness of the mind is half real.
Awareness is the real part; consciousness is the illusory part.
When you say, “I am,” the “I” part is awareness; the “am” part is consciousness.
The “I’ is pure identity - sentience - self - immaterial spirit.
God arises from primal awareness as identity’s ultimate embodiment.
EXPERIMENT
Relaxing results in transcendence.
Closing the eyes gives some immediate sense of quietening.
We feel at least somewhat “beyond” the hubbub of life.
Relaxing lessens activity. That’s how to increase relative silence.
As this skill is acquired, silence is grasped as an all time reality.
As this skill is perfected, silence is grasped as self.
As the perfected skill of relaxing is practiced, self becomes the sole identity.
PRACTICALITY
Even the silence of a new meditator is “proof.”
Closing the eyes immediately reveals “the wordlessness.”
We can hear words in the mind — and between them is silence.
Counting to ten mentally reveals how much “else” there is between words.
That silence between everything is a mere hint, but it’s a powerful start.
The mind can track silence’s scent like a bloodhound. Even a little’s enough.
Daily practice evolves and mastery arises without egoic guidance.
RESULTS
Eventually one relaxes one’s grip on reality.
And then lets go.
Yeah, I said it like that.
Get as much of the shock out of the way now.
On your way out the door, it’s nice to have two pals.
An educated intellect and a cultured heart.
As one lets go, those two will whisper helpfully.
And when the whispering stops, there you yet are.

VAISNAV JATANA X MAYA X BHAIRAVI YATANA
#################################
It is well known that Mahadeva gives moksha to people in Varanasi by uttering the taraka mantra in the ears of those dying, as said in the Kashi Khanda:
Who is competent enough to describe the unlimited greatness of Kāśī where Śiva whispers (a Mantra) into the ears of a creature about to die there? Into the ear of the living being about to die, Śaṃbhu whispers that syllable on hearing which even the dead one becomes immortal.
-Skanda Purana Kāśī-khaṇḍa, Chapter 39, verses 18-19
This is part of the moksha giving process which people like Ramakrishna have actually seen. It seems that in this process, in addition to speaking the taraka mantra, there is a Bhairavi Yatana for sinful people who have not yet exhausted their sins, which finds mention by a few mutually independent sources. One such source is Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudeva who talks about Kashi Kotwal giving Bhairavi Yatana as follows:
It’s called Bhairavi Yatana. That means when the moment of death comes, for all that you have been, your whole many many lifetimes plays out, in a moment with great intensity and whatever pleasures and pains and sufferings that need to happen to you will all happen. It would’ve spread over many lifetimes but all that will happen to you in a micro-second but with the kind of intensity that you cannot hold.
