VASNAS TO KARMA TO VASCULAR HEALTH
Because of our intentions, we also develop mental tendencies which make us to repeatedly act in a certain way. These tendencies are called vasanas. How vasanas are formed can be explained by the psychological concept called operant conditioning, a learning process which shapes behaviours. We all already know this but I will go ahead and explain what it means. It is a simple concept: If you get rewarded in some way by doing an action, you tend to repeat that action or behaviour. if you get rewarded by not doing an action, you tend not to repeat that action. Similarly, if you can avoid a punishment (anything that is unpleasant) by doing an action, you will repeat that behaviour. if you get punished by doing an action, you will tend to avoid that action.
