- When facing a shark, grab it's gills and pull them hard it's like suffocating the shark. Repeat if necessary.
- If a stranger grabs your wrist, lean towards him or step towards him and push your elbow up so that it will touch the persons arm. It will make his arm bend and it will force him to release his hold on you.
- If you’re in public and you need help (maybe you’ve been injured or mugged or something) call out specific people (ex: You with the green shirt!) They are more likely to help you.
- Unlikely, but if you’re near the detonation of a nuclear bomb, hold your thumb up with your arm outstretched. If the cloud is bigger than your thumb, get out of there now. You are in the fall out zone.
- If a person is holding you at gunpoint and wants to steal something, throw it near him and run away. Chances are he is more interested in stealing your valuables than shooting you.
- If you ever go down a waterfall (say you fell into the Niagara Falls), you should stay calm, take a deep breath right before going over the edge (water may be deep and you may forget to breathe during the fall) and make sure you fall feet first.
- If you’re hiking and see a bear, remember this small poem: If it’s brown, lay down. If its black, go back. If its white, good night.
