Sinusitis was found to be an important factor contributing to longer length of stay and higher hospital costs for preseptal cellulitis. Oral or ambulatory intravenous antimicrobial treatment strategies might decrease the hospital expenditure in these patients; however care should be taken in the presence of sinusitis
