Islam requires believers to demonstrate endurance and recognition of Allah’s will whenever they face the tragedy of the death of a loved one.
“When a Muslim hears about loss, he is supposed to express gratitude to God for what has occurred and to utter the expression that, “indeed, we are from God, and we shall go back to him. God, I seek for myself the suitable reward for this calamity and leave for me just the goodness from what has happened.” (Muslim, 1994)
