DTH - PROLONGED GRF V NEUTRAL ACCEPTANCE OF DTH

 A

Prolonged Grief Associations With Fear of Death and Neutral Acceptance of Death

Fear of death and neutral acceptance of death both were significantly correlated with prolonged grief symptoms (see Table 2). We also performed hierarchical regression analysis to examine how fear of death and neutral acceptance of death predict prolonged grief symptoms while controlling for the factors that were (a) previously found to be significant predictors of prolonged grief (Gegieckaite & Kazlauskas, 2019, 2019) and (b) were significantly associated with fear of death and neutral acceptance of death. Fear of death was a significant predictor of prolonged grief even when other factors were controlled for, whereas neutral acceptance of death turned out to be a nonsignificant predictor in the regression analysis
