WHATSAPP X MENTAL HEALTH

Using a messaging app, such as Facebook MessengerSnapchat or Whatsapp, is linked to good mental health, new research suggests.
Whatsapp, which the study focused on, has over 1.5 billion users worldwide.
It allows users to send messages, pictures and videos to each other.
People can also join groups to keep in touch with specific social circles — one of the most popular functions.
The longer people in the study spent using Whatsapp, the less lonely they felt, the researchers found.
Using Whatsapp was also linked to higher self-esteem, as a result of keeping in touch with family and friends.
