OE

Food is one of the most powerful drugs on the planet.  It has the ability to alter our physiology through our biochemistry.  Which, in turn, has the ability to affect our emotions, energy, health and ultimately our outlook on life.  If we discover that we have a compulsive, obsessive, unhealthy relationship with food, unlike other drugs we cannot just cut it out of our lives “cold-turkey”.  Food touches every part of our lives:  personal, social, cultural, traditional, religious, etc.  We need food to survive. Not only is it the building blocks of our body but the common thread that weaves many of our cultural and social fabrics together.  If you’re holding this book in your hands then you are very aware of this.
