 No matter how much money you accumulate,

it will never feel enough, unless you know God.

No matter how big your home is,

it will feel like a prison unless you know God.

No matter how high you climb in society,

you will feel weak unless you know God.

No matter how successful you become,

you will feel restless unless you know God.

Until we know God to be within us, we look for God in the things of this world.

Even if destiny bestows all the things of this world to us,

without knowledge of God, we feel incomplete and afraid.

Knowledge of God is the crown jewel,

in front of which all the things of this world look undesirable.

God is actually our one true desire. 

The mind believes it wants this or that.

What it truly longs for is God.

Therefore, no matter your circumstances, no matter your personal history,

devote yourself to meditation.

Seek God above all else.

Discover God’s presence shining within.

Once we know God to be the one Reality,

our true identity,

the only Self,

the things of this world, including the one who desires them,

are understood to be fleeting experiences which come and go at the mercy of destiny.

This is no longer considered a problem. It is freedom.

Once we know God, we can experience both prosperity and adversity,

success and failure,

pleasure and pain,

without attachment or aversion.
