“Human birth is extremely difficult to obtain. If man so wills, he can get rid of the veil of ignorance in his lifetime and realize God.
The desire to know God is the natural desire of a Jiva. A human being does not want to remain ignorant as in reality he is the embodiment of Knowledge, of Peace.
You do not relish falsehood, you crave for truth - since you are in fact Truth in essence.
Tread the path leading to God, His grace is pouring forth perpetually. The reason why we are not aware of it, is that you are holding your vessel upside down and so His grace continually flows away.
Keep your vessel right side up and it will fill to overflowing.”

The ancient text of Hinduism "Narada-pancharatra" says: "Repetition of the mantra brings peace, bliss and prosperity. There is no doubt about that." On the material level, the mantra leads to increased concentration, it relieves stress, increases vitality, improves performance, memory, helps to get rid of many psychosomatic and physical diseases and fills life with joy. On the spiritual plane, the mantra leads to enlightenment and connection with cosmic consciousness.
There are many mantras for prosperity of course, some of them are dedicated to goddess Lakshmi, god Ganesha, god Kubera. There is a short mantra for abundance and wealth addresses to goddess Padmavati who is also Lakshmi.
Padmavati means the one who arises from lotus. There are different legends about this goddess, they all show wealth and abundance of Her. People who chant this mantra are believed to be always full of food and wealth.

Har Har Mahadev!!!
There is no difference. Bhakti is always Bhakti. May it be to Shiva or Krishna.
True Bhakti is when devotion is out of Love and not fear. So love for either of the two is True Bhakti. I am personally a Shiv Bhakt, but I am in association with Krishna devotees in my college. So I also chant the Hare Krishna Mantra with them.
A true Shaiva should always pray to Lord Vishnu as well and a true Vaishnava must pray to Lord Shiva. This is not told by me or any Acharya. Even Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva say this in the scriptures.
True Bhakti always gives Bliss, May it be to Lord Shiva or Lord Krishna.

~ O best of the earth you should know that everything gets destroyed, But know that which is indestructible by which this universe is pervaded. That which is devoid of the qualities of smell and devoid of form and touch,That which is soundless and tasteless is the Lord of all and pervades everywhere. It is transcendental to the modes of nature and is near and far away. It reflects the modes of all the senses and is devoid of all the senses. The ends of the hands and feet are all around the eyes, head and face. He is the god of all the senses and the Supreme Lord everywhere. That one indestructible one in whose womb the universe is. Some call him Sadashiva, the lord of the universe. Some call him Vasudeva and some call him Kala. Some call him a Deva and some call him their Own nature (Atman).
[Vishnu Dharmottar Puran:- 1.171.9-13]

That depends on two important questions:
- Which of Vishnu’s forms do you include under “worship of Vishnu”, and
- Which Devi? Devi just means “Goddess” - any Goddess. There are many.
Hindus worship Shiva more than Vishnu alone. But if you combine Vishnu with His popular Avatars Krishna and Rama, since they are all in truth one being, then collectively Hindus worship Him more than Shiva.
Hindus worship Shiva more than any one Devi. But if by “Devi” you mean an aggregate of all the Devis - well, if you just combine Lakshmi and Kali, that already surpasses the worship of Shiva.
Really though, it’s not a competition. Worship whichever Divine form(s) you best connect with.
