Not a Thing. Consciousness is beyond all objects

Sarva visaya atitam 

Consciousness is not a Knowable

Consciousness is the Knower

Knower cannot be Known 

Conflict here with Science 

Does the Sun need to illumine itself 

Consciousness  just shines
