N PREVENTING PRETERM X LO DOSE ASPIRIN

SHORT-CIRCUITING PRETERM BIRTHS
The best place for babies to develop is in their mothers. Preterm births, those
coming before 37 weeks, can leave newborns vulnerable to learning disabilities,
heart problems and stillbirth or death before they are seven days old. A
large-scale study found that not only did taking low doses of aspirin reduce
premature births, it lowered mothers' risk of hypertension.
