Patterned bruising – tramline/tramtrack • Linear objects- rigid or flexible • Often ascribed to discipline methods • “Negative imprinting” – object sinks into the skin, edges drag skin down and tear marginal blood vessels, centre compresses the skin but with no bone underlying little or no damage to vessels caused – spared area of non-bruised skin
