Diagnostic criteria for Kawasaki disease
Fever for 5 days or more PLUS at least 4 out of the 5
following principal features:
Bilateral (non-purulent) conjunctival injection
Rash – polymorphous exanthem
Lips – red, dry, or cracked and strawberry tongue
Extremities:
• Reddening of palms and soles
• Indurative oedema of hands and feet
• Peeling of skin on hands and feet (convalescent
phase)
Cervical lymphadenopathy (>1.5cm) – often unilateral,
non-purulent
