ROSEOLA X DRUG RASH

Roseola: fever with occipital lymphadenopathy; then rapid defervescence corresponding with
appearance of a red, maculopapular rash over trunk and arms lasting 1–2 days.
Note: Many children are started on antibiotics for the fever and then misdiagnosed as having
a drug reaction when the rash appears.
