COLD MTHR X REDUCED TELOMERE

Mothers who use a cold parenting style may shorten their children’s lives and increase their risk of disease, new research finds.
Cold parents are emotionally distant and unresponsive to their child’s needs.
They tend to be dismissive, indifferent or even neglectful towards their child.
The researchers found that children of cold mothers tend to have telomeres — a component of DNA — 25 percent shorter.
Telomeres are protective caps at the end of each strand of DNA.
Shorter telomeres are linked to a higher risk of disease and accelerated aging.
