It’s a prehistoric jungle out there. Like reality television show contestants,
tyrannical colleagues (Tyrannosaurus colleagi) are everywhere. If you haven’t encountered
one, you’re very lucky or you’re the tyrannical colleague of your workplace.
Tyrannosaurus colleagi can strike in many different ways, directly (such as
openly abusing you verbally or physically), or indirectly (such as discrediting or
hurting you behind your back), and in obvious or subtle ways. They can commit
the acts themselves, assemble allies to help them, or use their trusted henchpeople
or subordinates to carry out their dirty work. Some are so subtle, that
you don’t even realize that you have a tyrannical colleague.
