When inner discomfort is felt, the mind's tendency can be to try to change other people based on the belief that they are the cause of the feeling. The mind mentally strategizes to try and find a way to manipulate and control them to make them behave differently but this keeps our inner peace dependent on uncontrollable circumstances. True inner peace is derived from within one's own being and is not dependent on anything external.
By focusing your attention fully present in the now, taking full responsiblity for your own inner experience and accepting others just as they are, without projecting any idea that they should be different, peace is instantly accessible without the need for anyone to change.
